Computer Death, Part V
My less-than-a-month-old computer will not turn on. Seriously, universe? Seriously?

So I'm going to have to call up some people in my non-existent free time and get that sorted. Ugh.

In better news, my friend just gave me the Anastasia soundtrack so that's making my night considerably better. The ridiculous French essay I have yet to start to write is not.

Brother drove to the city to spend Thanksgiving with me since I couldn't (read: didn't want to) go home. Our dinner was weird but we had a lot of fun. Our plan was basically this: pumpkin. Pumpkin cookies, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie. I really like pumpkin, okay. We even made pumpkin puree from a real pumpkin (my recommendation? Just buy a can.)

What actually happened: pumpkin cookies, pumpkin muffins, slightly raw banana bread (the oven wasn't good and did not cook things thoroughly), Indian take-out, Thai take-out. As soon as I laid out all my ingredients and got ready to cook I realised I did not have any measuring tools. Didn't feel like going to the store again so I used a Crisco container that was approximately one cup and eyeballed everything else. It actually turned out pretty well considering how haphazard it all was. Then we open wine with two screws and a wire hanger. Dinner in a dorm kitchen is the best!

Whilst all this was going on, we continued our usual tradition of marathoning a TV show every holiday. First, we watched The Social Network (how much do I love Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, and Armie Hammer? SO MUCH.) as a bit of a warm-up. Then BBC's Sherlock. Holy shit, so awesome. Watching it again soon. After that it was several episodes of Avatar: the Last Airbender (my love for that show knows no bounds. And Brother is all ooh, eastern philosophy. Yeah, whatever, let's talk about SOKKA.) and a couple eps of season five of Doctor Who (Matt Smith ♥)

Perfect ending to the break: I dragged Brother to see Tangled. IT WAS SO DELIGHTFUL. Not to mention, I adore Zachary Levi. And I've been following this movie's development for three years (ever since I heard about it in 11th grade). Disney still owns a majority share of my soul. It was a must-see.

Merlin
Merlin, Merlin, Merlin. What can I even say about you? I thought 3x12 was weird but good. Gwaine always improves things 1000%. Merlin/Gwaine/Arthur banter makes my life. Arthur threatening Druid boys, however, does not. My fanwank is he wouldn't have actually acted on that threat (I really believe Arthur doesn't have it in him to kill a child) but was just acting desperately. If it came to a fight, I imagine he would have pushed the kid away and started chopping up adults. Luckily, it did not.

Merlin/Arthur bromantic moments that didn't make me cringe a little! No projectile cups! It was actually adorable like Merlin/Arthur should be! "Nah, I've already seen the woods." BOYS! ♥

The whole coup was the actually interesting part of the episode and not nearly enough time was spent on it. Gwen/Morgana interaction! Possibly genuine happiness from Smirkana! And Uther having his ass handed to him... \o/ But Arthur's face. ARTHUR'S FAAAACE.

There were other things I wanted to say but I can't even remember them now so...

THE TRAILER. THE FINALE. I WILL NOT SURVIVE. TWO KISSES. TWOOOOO! Oh, and some like knights shit or something. Just kidding! So excited for Excalibur (Freya!) and the Round Table (and Gaius chilling at it like nbd, nbd). I have no idea how they're going to make everything work and I can. not. wait. to find out. But then it is over for ages and ages ;___; (Seriously, this show is crack and I cannot live without it.)

onceandfutures will be my fix. They are more awesome than two awesome things at an awesome convention. Go forth, join.

Chuck
I love so much about the things you choose to be. I am so pleased with this show right now that I honestly can't come up with any complaints.

Specifically, Yvonne acted her ass off in 4x09 and completely nailed it. CHILLS. The giant blonde she-male was the hottest and scariest thing I've ever seen. ♥____♥

I caught up with all my shows over Thanksgiving but now they're all on hiatus. I can't even remember what's happened in half of them. What is the end of the semester doing to my brain? I just have to survive until December 20 (and not post LJ entries when I have a French essay due tomorrow later this same day). Then I can live in my vegetative state for three whole weeks! Huffah!

Aw, that sounds like a fun Thanksgiving! I like your brother. Hee. AND THE SOCIAL NETWORK. SAKLD:JALSKDJASLK ♥ Marathoning a TV show during the holiday is a tradition with my family as well! =D

My fanwank is he wouldn't have actually acted on that threat (I really believe Arthur doesn't have it in him to kill a child) but was just acting desperately. If it came to a fight, I imagine he would have pushed the kid away and started chopping up adults. Luckily, it did not.

I HAVE to believe this, otherwise I might cry. That moment, bb...GYAH.

ARTHUR/MERLIN BROMANCE IN THIS EPISODE WAS AMAZING. WHY ISN'T IT ALWAYS LIKE THIS?
